Well: If could be a lot of things.  It could be the early signs of shingles, it could be muscular, it could be a kidney stone, you cold have a nerve that is pinched, the list can go on...You would need to provide a little more information.

Have it evaluated: This needs to be evaluated as there are several causes for pain in this location. The pain can either be back or abdominal in origin. Start with your family doctor if you have one.

It may be bursitis: You may have inflammation of your trochanteric bursa, a fluid filled sac that reduces friction at the outside of your hip. Try ice and antiflammatory medicine and consult a doctor.

Ribcage pain: This may be due to hurting ribs. Costochondritis (inflammation around ribcage joints) can cause this.

Many things: It could be related to the food you eat.  It may be gallstones.  It could be your liver or pancreas. Kidney stones on the right will cause pain. Also it could be due to your appendix.  Get checked out by your primary care and they can help steer you in the right direction/.

Abdominal mm pain...: If it is not severe, it comes and goes, is not associated with other symptoms such as fever, chills diarrhea, constipation etc, then i suspect it is not serious, and may be do to a muscle strain in one of the muscles attached to the abdominal wall.  It could also be a kidney stone. Drink lots of fluids, watch for any blood in the urine or gravel like material passed in the urine. If persists c doc.

May be a hernia. : You should make an appt with a flesh and blood doc who can examine you directly, not a virtual Doctor. If you have not found someone to your satisfaction in Brooklyn then I have an office in Manhattan. It sounds like you might have either a direct or indirect hernia. If you indeed have that as the cause of your problem there is a good surgical fix for it!
