Follow: If you have a infection and the lymph nodes (lns) resolve, it is from the infection. If you don't have an obvious infection and they are: growing, painful, or worrisome -- then see a physician to evaluate.

Accepted Answer

Possibly.: It's possible to have swollen lymph nodes as part of a cold or other upper respiratory infection.  You could consider waiting until the cold gets better & see what happens to your lymph node.  It will probably get better on its own.  If it doesn't, you may want to see your primary doctor about it.

No worry: likely represents a scarred lymph node if it has not changed after a few months.

Accepted Answer

Within 2 weeks: if there is no residual infection at the extraction site, then the lymph node usually normalizes in very short time but typically within 2 weeks. I Rx that you get the lymph node checked if it persists.

how long does post nasal drip last? and is it usually accompanied by slightly swollen lymph node under jaw? lymph node doesnt hurt and can be moved

A long time: Post nasal drop is usually due to allergies, which can occur in certain seasons, especially spring postnatal drop can be present continuously in some persons. If it  is on only one side of your nose and you have a history of head trauma, please see your doctor. Topical stetoid sprays or no sedating  medications such as Zyrtec may help. In extreme cases, a consult with an allergist may be needed.

i have a swollen lymph node under jaw  it's been over two weeks and it's went down considerably and it's to the point where it feels like it's completely gone. should i still follow up with a doctor?

No: Sounds like this may have not been a lymph node rather a swollen submaxillary salivary gland and that you had an obstruction due to duct stone which you "passed"..did you have a salty taste in your mouth??????

i have some pain under left ear and lymph node under jaw is hurting too. for about a week. what could this be?  is it serious? like cancer?

Ear infection?: Throat infection ? An infection usually around the painful and/or  swollen lymhonode is usually the cause of the problem. Please see your doctor. I hope this helps.

Likely: If the lymph node enlargement is due to infection, these will subside. If the nodes become larger or additional nodes become larger, it would be prudent to address the issue with your doctor again.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

6 year old daughter right submandublar lymph node, right under jaw curve( towards ear) is asymmetrically enlarged. size is about an inch or a little under length wise. (football shaped) left side also a little enlarged. no symptoms. cancer concern?

: That is below the bottom of my list of possibilities at that age. These are lymph nodes reacting to some stimulus from the mouth until proven otherwise.  moth/throat or skin irritation or recent infection is a common trigger. Her doc should monitor it. Most resolve over 6-8 weeks.

Symptoms: Symptoms, such as fever, local pain, generalized weakness will help in understanding if there is still deep seated infection. Follow-up with White blood cell counts and inflammatory tests: ESR or CRP will help as well if there is clinical concern.
