You may not know: Periodontitis will often have no outward symptoms. It's great that you brush a lot, but your brush cannot get into the areas that dental instruments are designed to reach. Let a local dentist examine you and clean your teeth... Then you will know for sure the condition of your teeth and gums. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure...

Let time pass: That bump is normal....It is tissue that covers a nerve and blood vessels ... This tissue can be easily injured (hot pizza, scalding soup, hard bread crust, etc.) resulting in it becoming swollen.  Keep the area clean, maybe use some salt water rinses, and give it some time to heal on its own.  If it does not get better in about a week you should visit your dentist.

Inflammation: If it has been a long time since you had your teeth cleaned, there may be tartar and calculus below your gumline.  This can cause the gums in the area to swell. Other possibilities are food stuck below the gumline or even an abscessed tooth that needs to be treated.  Whichever it is, your best bet is to schedule a visit to your dentist and have it properly diagnosed and treated.

: Maybe/not. If you cut it there will be a body response and some inflammation. The saliva has some antibacterial effect and many such issues self heal. It may be true gingivitis and deserving of treatment. Your dentist or general doc can confirm this during a consult.

i have power chains on my 2 front teeth and they closed rapidly and pushed the gum back and caused a lump of gum behind my teeth, will it go away ?

Most likely: Your body will most likely take care of the extra tissue.  It's most likely swollen from being pinched between the teeth.  If it doesn't resolve on its own a very simple procedure to remove the painful tissue can be performed by a laser trained dentist.  Take some ibuprofen if it is painful and give it a week or so to resolve.  Hope this helps!

See the dentist asap: If it is a wisdom tooth that didn't completely erupt and is hard to access when you're brushing your teeth, it may not be worth saving it. If the tooth is in an upright position and has an opposing tooth, try and save it. The more this applies to a second molar.
