Nerve Pain: Burning-like pain is neuropathic in nature. There is a compressed nerve present, don't know the cause. A muscle spasm can compress nerves. Need to see your doctor for a definitive diagnosis.

Best to see a doctor: There are a number of things that could cause groin/hip pain with a numb leg.  An arterial clot (an emergency) could cause pain; typically the leg would be pale and cool and painful.  A nerve being pinched can also cause pain/numbness.  Depending on the setting, it could be important to find out what is pinching the nerve.  Proper evaluation of such symptoms requires a physical exam.

Lots of causes: Arthritis is the most common cause of groin pain. Other common causes would be hip impingement or a cartilage tear. Infection is very serious cause of hip pain that usually is very rapidly progressing and is often accompanied by fevers, chills, etc. You should have this evaluated asap.
