Many things can...: Many different conditions can cause hip / groin pain. Just a few in your age group include : early arthritis ( femoroacetabular impingement ), hip labral tears, referred pain from a lumbar disc injury, inguinal hernias , adductor muscle strain , "pubalgia", and many others.
