See a specialist: You don't mention having it properly examined.  In addition to a full examination, proper diagnostic testing including X-rays and perhaps an MRI will be useful.  The condition (if occurred on Nov 13) is more than 6 weeks.  The fact that you remain on crutches is of concern.  See an orthopedist or podiatrist to have a proper assessment made.

Requires evaluation: including EKG, echocardiogram as well venous and arterial Doppler studies of the lower extremities. Obviously you will medication for the edema.

See a doctor today: You could have a blood clot in the leg. If you are are having any shortness of breath, chest pain, palpitations, or your pulse is over 100 at rest - you should go to the Emergency Room now to get tested.

Possibly: Pain, swelling are common symptoms of dvt, and the best way to evaluate this is with a duplex ultrasound study of the involved leg.  Sometimes, there is only minor, muscle pull sensation, and no swelling, and for the most part, physical examination is in error 50% of the time.

i have fallen about five feet and landed with out bending my knees. now i have pain in my calf and thigh, what should i do ?

Mild Trauma: Those muscles were likely engaged at the time of the fall in effort to protect the knee joint. Suggest initial treatment for muscle strain with hydration (1-1.5 liters per day) and naproxen OTC 2 tabs twice daily with food for three days, assuming you have no history of GI bleed or allergy to NSAID class medications. If pain in the knee joint itself develops, see an in-person doc for a joint exam.

Not usually.: Try giving him a spoonful of claussin pickle juice with dinner.I know it sounds corny-but it works for my athletes.

Lots of things: Severe calf pain can be due to intermittant claudication which you must address due to poor circulation.  Upper thigh pain can also be due to poor circulation especially if you are a past smoker.  Overexercise  which causes cramping, and lack of stretching may also be a cause.  Arthridities and neuromuscular disorders should also be addressed.  I would see your physician for a proper diagnosis.

Pinched nerve.: You may have a pinched nerve. See a non-surgical sports medicine specialist, who can sort out your symptoms, and come up with an appropriate course of treatment.

You're too tight: This is simply a lack of flexibility in your hamstring and calf muscles.  You need to stretch both muscle groups in both legs 3-5 times daily, 1 repetition each side, with stretch held 30-90 seconds.   Do this regimen for a month and see the benefits....Then continue it for the rest of your life.

Restless leg syndrom: Check with your doctor to find out if you are suffering from restless leg syndrome which causes symptoms like yours when at rest .
