See below: It could mean a number of things.  You could have vomited blood and aspirated it.  You could have an endobronchial lesion that is bleeding.  You may have an infection or a blood clot.  Potentially related to a vasculitis.  It warrants an evaluation, though.

Nothing good: Blood can be present in many sections of the respiratory tract from numerous causes, and many of these suggest a potentially severe illness.  There is also blood which may be present in the thin tissues which surround and protect the lungs.  This too is not good.  If this is your issue make sure you discuss this with your doctor at length.

Typically Not.: Blood tinged sputum is blood in the "spit". This could be something simple as an infection to more severe issues. There is typical a small inflammation in the distal airways that cause this. More severe conditions could be an erosion of the blood vessel or inflammation of these. This is a more serious condition. Need to follow up with your md if this is ongoing. "cuts" to the lung typically not.

Yes: Blood flow to heart &amp; lungs increase during exercise in order to improve oxygenation of muscles. Blood flow also increases to remove metabolic waste which you can feel as "burn" sensation after strenuous exercise.

Very dangerous: However, if it is small and goes to a small part of he lung, it can be minimal.  Many have had a pe and never known it.  Hhowever, a clot going to the central vessels of the lung can kill a person instantly.
