See below: It could mean a number of things. You could have vomited blood and aspirated it. You could have an endobronchial lesion that is bleeding. You may have an infection or a blood clot. Potentially related to a vasculitis. It warrants an evaluation, though.

Not good: It means something is wrong. An infection, a chronic conditions has exacerbated or a significant inflammatory process is undergoing. By all means get a lung doctor soon.
