Don't use nicotine: If you are smoking or chewing tobacco and your employer (or whoever) is testing for it, it is going to test positive unless you quit.  Cotinine, the main metabolite that is usually tested for, will remain positive 3-4 days in most tests, up to a week for more sensitive tests. You can find websites on "beating" tests, but most of these don't work, and testing companies now test for them/

Not smoke!!: If you are asking how to "beat" the test, it would be unethical for any physician to give you advice on that. The way to pass ANY drug test is to NOT use that drug.  Moreover, it is far more important to actually stop using tobacco products because they remain the number one preventible cause of death in the western world (and increasingly in developing nations). Stop BEFORE cancer, heart disease.

Maybe, or not: There are several variables which effect the amount of cotinine, the byproduct of nicotine, which is measured.  Second hand smoke may cause an elevation of the cotinine level.  A big time heavy smoker, may have an evaluated level of weeks.  Since even second hand smoke can elevate the cotinine, the issue of passing a test depends on the cutoff level from the tester.

Should pass: If you have a low level, claim passive smoking. That said, please forgive my frankness. You need to comply with your tobacco abstinence program. It is hard, but it is life and death. Do whatever gives you strengt to pursue it and hang in there.

Not entirely sure: It depends on how they test you and what they are testing you for (nicotine or cotinine). If it's the most common urine test it can stay there for up to 3-4 days so you're on the threshold of that. The standard positive test for urine is 200ng/ml.Blood tests is negative 1-3 days after last cigarette. Saliva test is 2-4 days. Good luck!

Depends: the test.

With urine it is usually 1/2 the dose every day.  Therefore after 14 days the nicotine concentration will be about 0.006% the dose, if it  were 100% on day 0.

I would so "no": Usually, 10 days is considered to be the outside time limit to detect nicotine after it has been ingested. However, the tests are very sensitive &amp; depending on age &amp; dose, cotinine (a nicotine metabolite) has been detected as long as 3 months after. Current use of e-cigarettes and/or vaping will very possibly result in positive nicotine tests, though, apparently, not ALL e-cigs contain nicotine.

Depends: What was tested? The test results for nicotine and/or its metabolite are usually reported as positive or negative.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Ask for help to quit: Nicotine and its metabolites may be detected in blood tests for up to two(2) weeks.  I am not aware of any methods to "pass" a nicotine/ cotinine test when you have been smoking.  Consider honestly disclosing your cigarette use and getting help to quit smoking.  Good luck!

Probably not: most  of the very sensitive nicotine tests can detect nicotine residue for at least 2-3 weeks after  last smoke
