Don't use nicotine: If you are smoking or chewing tobacco and your employer (or whoever) is testing for it, it is going to test positive unless you quit. Cotinine, the main metabolite that is usually tested for, will remain positive 3-4 days in most tests, up to a week for more sensitive tests. You can find websites on "beating" tests, but most of these don't work, and testing companies now test for them/
