Ovarian cysts: Have you spoken to your GYN or MD about them? Do they hurt frequently or only once a month? Did they say this was polycystic ovarian disease? Changes in diet may help with pain. Surgery sometimes is needed. Consult with us to help decrease pain with diet choices.

Normal: every month, you produce a cyst which has the egg in it. 2 cm is very normal. Once you ovulate, that cyst will go away.

Ovarian mass pain: This requires care by gyn specialist to evaluate mass and to give specialty care, and perhaps surgery.  Try to see one doctor frequently rather than go to er.

will they take your ovaries out if you have bilateral complex ovarian teratomas? i have 3. 5cm, 3cm and on the left side 2.5 cm. i am 8 weeks pregnant

Not necessarily...: If teratomas are benign, a good surgeon can separate the normal ovarian tissue from the teratoma, and preserve ovarian function for future pregnancies.

Trust doctor: It is safe to watch simple ovarian cysts and see (by ultrasound, if needed) how they behave over time.

Color flow: With extreme pain, you could have a torsed or twisted ovary. This can cut off the blood supply. They can check this with color flow doppler. Ask your doc if they did that with the ultrasound.

ovarian cyst causing a lot of symptoms such as nausea and pinching sensation ? i had a rather large one taken out other side w/ the same symptoms but this one is teeny (approx 1 cm) and is now just as uncomfortable.

Ovarian cyst ?: Your symptoms may not be caused by the "1 cm ovarian cyst", so if pregnancy is possible, obtain a serum HCG test to be certain you are not pregnant. Sometimes infection, or even a pregnancy outside the uterus is present (ectopic), which needs more attention than "...in two weeks".

Ovarian cysts: If a cyst is painful between 4-6 cm , you should check with ultrasound at GYN appt with MD. Sometimes, it can be removed if it is growing larger, but benign. They remove by laparoscope.

Some cysts can be as large as orange.Dull aching, or severe, sudden, and sharp pain or discomfort in the lower abdomen (one or both sides), pelvis, vagina, lower back, or thighs; pain may be constant or intermittent the most common symptom thigh pain is referred from cyst resting on nerve in the pelvic area.
