Tennis elbow: Tennis elbow or lateral epicondylitis is the most common cause of pain on the outside of your elbow. Golfer's elbow pain is on the inside of your elbow. Both conditions are due to chronic tendinopathy. Treatment is with rest, physical therapy, and Nitric Oxide patches. MRI: An MRI will show bone as well as soft tissues.  This test is more detailed than an mri.  Good luck!

can ra cause painful bone spurs on outer points of elbow? i am a 42 yo with ra who doesnt suffer from osteo elsewhere. the elbow awakens me constantly at night in pain. if it is too straight or too bent, i awake in pain, even on elbow -pain free days?

: Did X-Rays show the bone spurs? RA can cause elbow pain but when I see spur formation, I think of old injuries &amp; wear and tear causes or can this be recent onset subacute bursitis?  If resting the elbow &amp; a course of anti-inflammatory medication don't relieve your symptoms, consult your physician or an orthopedic surgeon for evaluation &amp; advice.

Different causes: The medial elbow pain experienced in the funny elbow could be an ulnar neuropathy, or a medial epicondylitis.  This will depend on other symptoms that might be experienced.  If nerve problem, then numbness and weakness also present.

The wrist pain could be referred from elbow or a separate problem.  "Small round bone" is not an accurate description of pain location so I cant be specific on causes

See md: Your history of full rom but pain w/ lifting objects suggests the most common dx. Made w/ elbow pain: tendinitis.( specifically lateral epicondylitis or ' tennis elbow'). Try taking a NSAID for a week , avoid power grip activities w/ this extremity for a couple of weeks and see if it doesn't improve. If not, get a referral to an ors . Best of luck!

i fell and landed on my elbow. above my elbow hurts to touch and it hurts when i put weight on it but i can lift things fine. i cant tell is muscular or bone related. fall was 2 days ago should i go get it x-rayed or give it time? im emt for work?

: Would suggest having your elbow assessed by a trauma doc or ortho in order to have a proper plan and for peace of mind. In case needed, imaging may be ordered based on exam.
