is there any other treatment for my ocular herpes other than taking antiviral everyday?my dr said theres no other solution for my disease is this true

Believe the doctor: Herpes on the cornea can be very serious.  If not treated it can scar and affect the vision.  Do not take any risks with this and take the anti-viral medication which is usually quite effective.

is it a good idea to stock up on antiviral drugs?

Accepted Answer

Sometimes helpful: If you have recurrent/chronic herpes you need to begin antivirals within 72hrs of first symptoms or you may be using daily doses as prevention. So stocking up could make sense. These antivirals are related to the drug Acyclovir which is very safe. 
Other antivirals may not be as safe or may require monitoring. So stocking up would not be wise. Important: always check expiration dates.

ave discovered the woman i fingered on 01/07/21 was on antiviral drugs.i never had sex with her but i fingered her once on 01/07/21. my hiv status as at yesterday 16/08/21 was negative. should i get retested later?

: HIV is never transmitted by fingering. And anyway, if she has HIV but is on antiviral drugs, probably she cannot infect anyone ev e with unprotected vaginal sex. On top of all that, your test result proves you were not infected. Do not get tested again.

: According to the FDA, coadministration of the hydrocodone in Vicodin with PAXLOVID should be avoided and/or held, drug dose adjusted lower, or drug level monitored. Depending how your body metabolizes drugs, Hydrocodone may be inadvertently increased in the body

HIV medications: I would advise no for the time being. You want the HIV meds to get the HIV virus fully suppressed as soon as possible. If there is any grapefruit product in the spirulina then this may interfere with the HIV meds effectiveness.

HIV Fusion &amp; Entry: In order for the HIV virus to enter CD4+ "Helper" Tcells, HIV glycoproteins gp120 and gp41 interact with the CD4+Tcell receptor and CCR5 and CXCR4 on the CD4+ Tcell. There are two FDA drugs that are either fusion or entry inhibitors. The reason these drugs are important is because some patients become resistant to the other classes and these can be used. is it possible for new shingles lesions to erupt after finishing a 7 day course of an antiviral drug? i have ra and diabetes and i am on methotrexate.

Yes.: Antivirals not 100% effective.  Your immune resistance obviously low!  consider shingles vaccine!
