can anyone get b.p problems when eating meat (beef)?.. can eating meat help us to pack on mass (lean mass)? thank you.

Careful of red meat: BP depends on a variety of factors, including genetic factors, diet, other health conditions &amp; diet. Red meat can be a source of protein which is important for building muscle mass, but it also has a lot of fat and cholesterol, so we generally try to limit it in a "heart-healthy" lifestyle. How much red meat you can "get away with" may depend on your weight, activity level and family history.

i know my pregnant wife should avoid cold lunch meat but what about beef jerky?

She should avoid : All smoked/salted meats during pregnancy.  She should also avoid Klonopin, (clonazepam) as the baby can be born with a benzo addiction, which is very hard to come off...I would also recommend testing and treatment for MTHFR 677 &amp; 1298 genotypes.  Treatment is L-methylfolate, P5P, and methylcobalamin--all natural. Could explain Mom's anxiety and help!

All foods: E. Coli can contaminate any food, not just meats.  Lettuce, tomatoes are known to have been contaminated.

Might be: Buffalo meat is much less likely 2 come from an animal that has been raised on grain feed laced with antibiotics and hormones, both of which r routinely used in U.S. Commercial meat industry because producers get more meat per pound of feed when they add these substances.  If u r of the opinion that ingesting gratuitous antibiotics and hormones may be unhealthy..... Then buffalo is the way 2 go!

Moderation is key: the fat content in red meat can lead to atherosclerosis or hardening of your arteries which is a major risk factor for heart attacks and strokes. eat some but match it will vegetables

In moderation: As with all things in life... do everything in moderation. Beef is fine, but that depends on how much beef one eats over time. For example, 4 ounces of beef every day is fine. But, 40 ounces of beef every day is an abnormally huge amount. Life is about balance. Balance is what matters.

Avoid raw meats: pregnant women are 10 more likely to get listeriosis isymtoms of listeria include  headaches, muscle aches fever ,chills, nausea and vomiting . you should consult your doctor no and immediately if symtoms occur it can be treated with antibiotics.  it can cause miscarriage  prematurity, MR, blindness , and death

Ordinary cleansers: To get "burger E coli", you've got to swallow a good mouthful or two of undercooked, unhygienically-ground burger. The tiny number of nasty E coli bacteria that might actually be present aren't a realistic danger. What's critical is the size of the inoculum.

is it normal for raw ground beef that's just taken out of the package to have a slight smell to it? it wasn't noticable until i brought it up to my nose to smell it; also no discoloration or slimey feeling to the meat either.....
