A nerve block : Should show a progressive dissipation until it is gone. It should not recur or deepen and certainly shouldn't increase its depth with position. You should ask your doctor to evaluate you for other causes.

what should i do about nerve damage 1 yr. and a half after surgery? i had surgery for my veins in my left leg. it was not sucessful in any way. my lower leg to my foot is numb and tingles. the doctor has admit to nerve damage. my neurologist said to wait

Two : Two things may have happened - nerve was severed or contused.  If it is just a contusion, the nerve will recover, but it will need to grow back - the growth rate is arround 1 mm every other day, or around an inch a month.  You need to check where the damage was and then measure to see how long it will take to recover.  If the nerve was severed, you will need surgery, so the nerve can be repaired.  
For a better answer for your question, more information is needed.  Find an orthopedic surgeon specialized in microsurgery, and he/she may be able to help you.

what it the best way to treat peripheral nerve damage. i am suffering from ankle plantar flexion in right foot,limping and walking,how to improve this? i had a lumbar microdiscetomy 2 months back and after surgery having numbness and leg weakness?

: Check with your surgeon . If no permanent damage then with PT this can gradually recover. You might also need special foot wear. Good luck

Let me explain: The fracture have not healed yet, the numbness have to do with some nerve  injury could be around the knee or down, the swelling could expected and also the discoloration is expected.
Talk to your doctor if you have nerve injury from the fracture? Or some thing else.
