Allergies: Frequent nasal bleeding can be associated with nasal allergies, especially if the nose itches. Start using a saline nasal spray and smear some vaseline on a qtip inside the nostrils, but better is to consult an allergist to identify your allergies.

Why bleeding: Would determine the cause of the persistant nose bleed by seeing an ent. If there are issues with easy bleeding see your doctor who can run tests to see if there is a problem and refer you to a hematolgist.

None I know of: The treatment varies with the cause. In kids with nighttime bleeds just washing irritants out of their nose before bedtime or placing saline gel at the outlet before bed will often decrease/stop the frequency. Some adults with bleeds need to be cauterized by an ENT. Perhaps you could provide more detail about your issue so a focused response could be provided.

You need to see a ph: Visit with a physician in order to find the cause. It can be anyone of several well known causes. An examination by ENT doctor is the first thing to do. He might be able to locate a bleeding site in your nose by doing an exam.Some bleeding disorders like clotting broblems or low platelet counts can also cause bleeding....Nose being one of the common sites where excessive bleeding tendency may show.

Too much blood flow/pressure let through arteriole ruptures capillaries, thus bleeding. See your MD: Nose bleeding can be associated with chronically breathing air that is too dry, to nasal trauma or digital removal of mucus crusts.  Also, blood pressure needs to be checked.  Some growths in the nose may bleed.  You may try saline nasal spray, vasiline to moisturize, but you must see your doctor or ent--(ears, nose, throat doctor).  Low platelets may be associated as well.

I suspect the main: cause of the blood is the dryness is your nose contributing to microscopic blood vessel injury, drainage down the back of your throat, and then observed in your respiratory secretions. Humidification and some petroleum jelly in the nose should help. But please don't take this as reassurance about your smoking...if you continue, there may come a time when the blood streaks are from lung cancer:(

Sounds very serious: You should see a doctor soon, especially a ears/nose/throat (ENT) specialist.  Chronic nose bleeds may be a sign of a serious condition, and the blood loss may cause you to be tired, feel ill, be dangerous for your breathing, or even be fatal.
