Blood sugar: The normal fasting blood sugar is lower during pregnancy. The fasting blood sugar should be less than 95 mg/dL. The one hour post prandial blood sugar should be less than 140 mg/dL and the two hour post prandial blood sugar should be less than 120 mg/dL. So a measurement of 124 mg/dL at one hour post prandial is normal.

90-130: The "usual" blood sugars in pregnancy are the same as in non-pregnant people, but pregnancy increases the risk of diabetes.  If this occurs, it is called gestational diabetes.  In pregnant women with diabetes we generally aim for pre-meal numbers in the range of 90-130 if we can get there without risking low blood sugars.  If the woman is not on insulin, it's fine to be lower. About 6 hours btween

Diet and exercise: Eating a well balanced diet with a low glycemic index and regular aerobic exercise will help in keeping glucose in the normal range.  If you have pre-diabetes, metabolic syndrome or are overweight, it is imperative to loose weight.

Hypoglycemia: First off, there must be a reason found for hypoglycemia. I understand your mother-in-law is not diabetic based on the med list provided. So, if she is truly hypoglycemic, she will need to have that worked up to find the cause. Until then, a rich calorie meal before bedtime should help her maintain more or less adequate level.

Don't get your life: With diabetes, you need to be monitored closely as you experiment. Don't expect miraculous results from swapping calories from one group to another. It's much more to your credit that you're exercising, and this will be a huge help to you -- as will simply being pro-active about your health. Best wishes.

Fairly common: It does happen, but can be a sign of subchorionic bleeding.  If you haven't told your OB about it, then do so on Monday.  Nothing can be done for it emergently.  Avoid sex until seen and an ultrasound done and if you're a smoker stop
