No: One should not exercise while he/she has fever. Fever is a sign the body is fighting an infection. Also, the immune system may be suppressed while one has a fever &amp; a swimming pool is often an area for exposure to bacteria and viruses. Probably normal: If she is taking vitamins it can cause a strong odor and color to urine but I would suggest having her provider check a urinalysis and culture just to be sure. Continue to keep her well hydrated as well.

Nasal Saline: The sound that you are hearing may be from the lungs or from his congested nose. Infant nasal saline drops and gentle suction are used to remove the mucus. Babies like to breathe through their noses especially during the first year of life and keeping the nasal passages clear will help him breathe. Please follow up with your doctors office and monitor his temperature.

Draining ears/wax: It is hard to say but with cold symptoms an ear infection is a possibility. If the tympanic membranes or the ear drums are warm then wax can become soft and start to drain.there is no point guessing, the best answer is an exam. The fussiness may also point to an ear infection. All the best.

my 9 mo old has a fever of 100.5, what should i do to help it go away? she doesn't seem sick in any way..? her chest is very hot.

Nothing/tylenol: A fever of 100.5f is not very high in a 9 month old.  If he/she doesn't seem sick you don't need to give any treatment.  The fever itself does no harm to the baby.  If the temp. Was higher and the baby was acting sick you could give tylenol (acetaminophen) 10-15 mg per kg. By mouth.  If the baby remained ill you should call your doctor or advice nurse.

Let us see below: Some babies have no symptoms while teething, and others have a lot of apparent discomfort. The same baby might do ok with one episode of teething and not with another. Experts claim that if symptoms from teething are going to appear, they will develop 3-5 days before the tooth breaks through the gum and stop once the tooth is visible.Good luck, thank you.

my 18 month got a shot at the well visit yesterday and today she has had a runny noise and not her self. mo fever. is there something i can do for her?

Her symptoms are: probably not from her vaccine. You can treat her as you would any other time that she might have symptoms of a cold or virus. I would recommend either acetaminophen or ibuprofen for her discomfort (causing her crankiness) and saline drops for her nose. Also make sure she's drinking plenty of fluids. Call her doctor if her symptoms worsen.

Acetaminophen: It's very low grade, so if he's acting normally i probably wouldn't worry about it.  But tylenol (acetaminophen) is quite safe and you could give him some to lower the low grade fever.
