Tried Lithium?: It’s a hard disorder to treat, Lithium is effective so is Lamictal. Antidepressants use is tricky since it may push you in to mania. If the above two mood stabilizers fail individually try two mood stabilizer with an antidepressant

Theanine is found: In tea.  It helps the brain become focused yet relaxed.  You can purchase theanine in health food stores.  (the L before theanine means it will work more quickly.)  neuroscience labs has theanine products.  Peace and good health.  The EGCG in the green tea speeds up metabolism  which can act as a mild fat-burner.  You can purchase EGCG capsules in health food store also but probably don&#x27;t need it.

so i got my iep records and it states that i have a 504 plan. prozac (fluoxetine) is not working. does that mean im eligible for a stimulant?

Not if used: For a short time and very infrequenty! long term use will lead to much worse constipation. Try eating consistent amounts at consistent times each day and be sure to drink 80-100 ounces of caffeine free/alcohol free fluid daily. Eat a reasonable amount of fiber daily. This will usually resolve all of your "ibs" symptoms.

my son got  a tic with his first attempt at using a stimulant for adhd. he is now  on intuniv, but not working too well. would strattera (atomoxetine) work better?

Maybe. Tics may be : unmasked by one stimulant, but not the the other. Guanfacine, active ingredient of Intuniv, treats tics. If your son&#x27;s ADHD symptoms need to be reduced in a few days, not a few weeks, his MD can add low dose amphetamine if s/he tried methylphenidate, or vice-versa, then titrate it weekly in small increments. If s/he does so, Intuniv dose should stay the same during stimulant titration.
