Probably not. : Migraine patterns can change. Typical migraine symptoms like light hurting your eyes, seeing jaggedy lines or shimmering spots, and nausea or vomiting mean it's still most likely a migraine.

yesterday, i had a brain mri w/ and w/ out contrast. according to the office, someone has read my mri but not made an official report of the notes yet. if i had a tumor, would i have been notified?

Report of brain MRI: Most likely the report will be forwarded to the ordering physician or specialist who ordered the test. He/she will be the one who will notify of the results of your brain mri. If you have any suspected lesion, possibly you will be referred for further testing.

would a brain mri with and without contrast show problems with sinuses(cyst or tumors)or do they have to order mri specifically for the sinuses?

Head/neck scans: a CT scan without contrast is used to identify nose/sinus anatomy and membrane swelling and infections.
an MRI of the head with and without contrast shows the brain and sinuses, and is useful for outlining growths/tumors.

would a brain mri without contrast show a tumor? recently had mri (says whole brain and iac) for dizziness and ear pressure and results said everything is fine. worried a tumor was missed elsewhere in brain?

: Your study is clearly reassuring.  Any mass large enough to cause symptoms would readily be seen.  BUT, since you have misgivings, have your doctors review your films with you to cover all the bases

MRI: A MRI with contrast is sufficient to detect evidence of a brain tumor. If there is any question as to whether a brain tumor is present or not, one can opt to repeat the MRI of the brain with contrast three months after the last MRI brain was obtained.

i had a brain mri with contrast 1 year ago for paresthesia's entire left side of body and face with some weakness and it was normal. for the past 8 days i have had a headache and blurry vision, could a symptomatic brain tumor develop in 1 year?

: Yes, one year is more than enough for a brain tumor causing symptoms. However, headache and blurred vision are quite common so you should not think about the worst scenario. Eye problem is a common cause of your symptoms. Have your eyes checked if it has not been done in the last 2 years.

worried - brain mri w/out contrast 18 mo ago did not mention anything but recent ct w/contrast says possible small arachnoid cyst in anteriomedial frontal lobe. could this be a tumor that grew since then?

: Arachnoid cyst are benign, meaning not a cancer. They are not uncommon. Sometimes because of location and size they can cause symptoms. Sometimes if they are small they may not be mentioned on reports. Please talk to your PCP and let the radiologist compare both the scans to confirm it was there before.

would a brain mri with and without contrast show any tumor of the sinuses and orbit? my mri says it is clear, but i am still worried as i ma having odd symptoms. my eye exam and sinus ct do not show anything?

Need contrast: If looking for brain tumor, MRI needs to be done with contrast (gadolinium).

if you had an eye tumor would it show on a brain mri scan?

Depends on size,loc: MRI's limited resolution in "standard" view can miss tumors &lt;1 cm in size. Dedicated MRI of the orbits (eyes) can see tumors that are ~0.2 cm in size, but require a special order to perform. Also, the tumors show up in a way that can be confused with normal vitreous fluid in the eye, so often dye is needed, depending on location. Talk to an ophthalmologist about symptoms 2 c if MRI order's correct
