left hand struggles to do simple tasks. i have bad control between fingers. difficulty typing, holding a utensil, tying shoes etc. never been injured.

Need work-up.: I this something you just noticed, or has this always been the case?  If this is new, then it definitely deserves a neurological work-up.  Could be related to nerves in the hand/wrist/arm/neck, or could even be coming from the brain.  Blood testing along with imaging studies and nerve tests may be in order.

i lose control of my left hand occasionally. my fingers all spread apart, my eyes widen, and my left arm involuntarily lifts above my head. any ideas?

See your doc: I think it would be atypical, but it might be a variant of a seizure.  Might be worth getting a neurology evaluation.

Not Sure: Hard to say what is going on from the limited information you provided.  If just one hand is swollen and stiff, this could be due to over use, arthritis, or inflammation, among other causes.  Other less common casues can be nerve entrapments or circulation problems.  Seems like you should call your doctor for advice.

More info needed: Is this isolated to the hand and fingers only?  Is the pain traveling down the arm?  Was there any trauma?  Is there any pain at night or that wakes you up?  Is there numbness and tingling in the fingers?  We need more information to help you towards the next step.

Nerve compression: Nerve compression either the median nerve or the ulnar nerve at the wrist or forearm can radiate to the elbow 

carpal tunnel is medina nerve compression, pain typically goes to butnot above the elbow

these problems also alter mechanics and elbow issue such as tendonitis can accompany.

what does it mean when you have tingling in your left hand and fingres. had it right hand but now it's in left hand and fingers.?

Sounds c/w nerve : Perhaps you use your hands for repetitive activity such as keyboard activities, and a flexion/extension of your wrists can cause a synovitis at the wrist with subsequent carpal tunnel syndrome, but could be at elbow as an alternative explanation.  You may need an EMG test to pin this down, but usually quite reversible.

Carpal tunnel: A common cause is carpal tunnel syndrome where a thickened ligament from repetitive hand-wrist movements press on nerves entering fingers and hand. A hand surgeon can evaluate and advise you about treatment options.

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. What you described may be carpal tunnel syndrome or neuropathy from an other cause. It would be prudent to see a doctor as the disorder is treatable. Wish you good health!

i was just told by my dr. that the reason my left hand and fingers hurt so terribly is because my 3rd cervical disc is schattere he said it looks like it was a while ago because there is a lot of scar tissue around it.  it is one disc.,  what can i do for
