Lexapro (escitalopram): Start by taking Lexapro (escitalopram) at a time that best fits your routine. Usually meds that might be sedating (make you sleepy) are better taken at bedtime while those that may be more stimulating are better taken in the morning. Lexapro (escitalopram) generally is neither. Just be consistent and take it about the same time every 24 hours to maintain a therapeutic blood level. Hope this helps .

If yes, you can do a slow taper by reducing to 5mg for a week, then take it alternate days for a further 5 days then stop. Keep an eye out for how you feel over the next few weeks to months after stopping.

Lexapro (escitalopram): Yes. Of course. But the pill lasts more than 24 hours once one is on the medication for awhile. The daily dosing is to keep the blood level steady once it achieves a therapeutic level.
