i want to know if i can add a medication to the medications i'm already on the new medication will help with weight loss and i wanted to know if it would be safe?

Need more info: Cannot answer that without specific medication names.  Some Wright loss meds elevate blood pressure or heart rate which can be a problem. Some may have interactions with other meds. Sometimes it is fine to add to what you are already taking.  Best to ask your prescribing Dr about this

I am not familiar: w/that brand but protein shakes in general can be helpful.  Just be sure to eat nutritious meals at other times.  Ck w/doc about exercise also.  Peace and good health.

Sounds like you may: Have a thyroid problem like thyrotoxicosis: when the hormone, thyroxine is produced in abundance, generally causes loss of weight and increased hunger, 
see your pcp or an internist for getting evaluated, tested and treated, 
there might be other causes, but this the one of the commonest. Others include diabetes.

Go slow: To lose weight insure that calories burned &gt; calories consumed. Drink at least 8  - 8 oz glasses of water per day. Try for 8 hours of sleep/night.  Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables &amp; 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol &amp; junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic &amp; weight lifting exercises. Surgery may not be necessary. Take care.

Fiber effect: I don't know of any long-term studies. 1 ounce of acai berry juice contains approximately 15.6 calories. The açai berry has about 247 calories per 100-grams. 50 grams of powdered acai pulp has about 26 grams of dietary fiber. Because dietary fiber can help one to feel full it may be helpful for appetite suppression.

Saxenda: Saxenda may help weight loss but at your age you should be doing more exercise and eating properly.
I graduated from Sydney medical school in 1974 and decided to move to America. and have stayed there with a few trips back to Sydney. Still practicing in USA.
Enjoy life - enjoy the surf, and relax. I doubt you need Saxenda.

Weight pregnancy: Weight gain in pregnancy varies according to your BMI. If you are overweight or obese it is 10-20 pounds. You should never try to lose weight while pregnant. If you lose weight but eat a healthy diet and exercise and are overweight it can be ok. If you are worried, definitely eat healthy, exercise, and watch your weight. Good luck.
