Infection risk: If the bottle was sealed, I'd say there is minimal risk.

Not likely: This actually is an interesting question. There are no guarantees in life and you could get an amoeba at any time. However, it would be really unlikely with first potable and then filtered water. I would assume you are using clean municipal water and then extra filtering it with Brita. So, the risk is low, but there are just no guarantees: nothing in medicine is ever 100%

Very, very low risk.: The risk is very low considering that there have been NO case-reports of Primary Amebic Meningoencephalitis caused by Naegleria fowleri in the state of Massachusetts between 1962 &amp; 2016. Always use sterile water for neti pot.

Not in Canada or USA: The Amoeba infections occurred mostly in India in areas of polluted water.  This is NOT the case in 1st world countries where water is treated with chlorination.

Brita should do it: Recommendation is to use filtered, distilled, or bottled water. Brita filter should adequately filter out elements of concern.  You can heat this up in the microwave for 10 to 20 seconds to make it more comfortable.  Be sure to wash your bottle/neti pot regularly as well.

Brain: eating amoebas are in fresh water lakes not usually in chlorinated filtered water  you may have a sinus infection stop using neti pot

If : If it was water from a city supply, there should be no risk at all.  Amebic infections begin with contaminated water, and that coming directly from a commercial source should be safe.  Well water is a different issue, as it may be untreated and could be contaminated.  If this was well water, then you might want to take a sample for testing.

if hyper pots is caused by chiari malformation would bp meds help at all? or will it only work against the issue bc of the brain compression?

: Unfortunately, the Chiari I malformation and orthostatic intolerance connection is almost entirely unsupported by peer-reviewed literature. 
Hyper POTS can be managed with some types of BP medications such as beta blockers or alpha 2 agonist.

is it ok to get pregnant with sjgren's and pots and a lesion on my brain and raynauds and possibly lupus? my docs ok it but i'm afraid to try.

Trust your doctors: Without knowing more specifics of history and lab results, it is impossible to even guess. I will say that you should trust the advice of the doctors who know you best.

Verapamil: it is excellent choice for migraines and should help with POTS by not allowing the heart rate to go so fast
