See doctor: As described I can't give you a diagnosis of anything that sounds mortally wrong with you.  Sitting for any length of time will give anybody stiff knees...so that doesn't seem to be terribly important.  As far as the funny taste in the mouth the first question to ask is how is your dental hygiene and are you a smoker? You on any new medication? Dry mouth and nervousness go together as well.

Nausea/nervous: Consider gastritis, reflux with H pylori  a bacteria that causes gastritis- will  need antibiotics. Try maalox. May also be gallbladder or pancreas. Also since you are 53 may be cardiac so would followup with your doctor and possible consider a stress test, specially if overweight, smoker, high cholesterol, family history. If all  negative consider  CT abd/pelvis  for mass,ovaries

It might, ask Dr: Pepto coats the lining so adds protection from harsh foods or stomach acids. It kills some bacteria. To the extent the anxiety is increasing gastric acid - it may help - but ask the prescriber of any other drugs you take about interactions. You might find non-drug ways to lower anxiety - exercise, meditation, talk therapy, etc. Best!

There are pieces of information missing and néed to be addressed to draw an accurate possible causes list and then make a plan. I would start by seeing your primary care doctor. Even go to the hospital if you can't be seen today at personal doctor.

Well: From your history it looks like you have both Irritable Bowel Syndrome and an Anxiety Disorder. Don't see any medications listed for either.  Have you worked with a gastroenterologist for your IBS?  Have you worked with a counselor for the anxiety?  Learning to manage stress may help with both conditions. Good luck.
