GERD: I would suggest an antacid or even a protein pump inhibiter.. Perhaps you may be javic gastric reflux which is causing your symptoms. Avoid ibuprofen or alleve if you happen to be taking them. Above all see a good famioly doctor.

i had a negative ultrasound and hida scan could it still be my gallbladder causing my pain and attacks?

Possibly: the ROME III criteria for abdominal pain without objective findings has suggested that if you have "classic" symptoms and have a negative CT scan, negatived upper and lower scope, negative HIDA and ultrasound with no other suspected cause for pain that it may be reasonable to remove the gallbladder. Patent needs to have low expectations and classic symptoms

Need more info: Blood tests usually are not useful in diagnosing gall bladder disorders. It may help to know your symptoms and the actual findings of blood tests and ultrasound. It would be prudent to see your doctor for an in-person evaluation.

frequent gallbladder attacks, normal ultrasound, norm hida, endoscopy/ biopsy show celiac, but bloodwork for celiac is negative.  cbc has high lymps.?

You have celiac: If the biopsy was consistent with celiac, you should act as if you have it.  If you have not already stopped eating gluten, you should.  If you don't feel better off it, i'd be surprised.  If the ultrasound and hida don't show gallbladder disease, it's unlikely that the pain you are having is from your gallbladder.

recent endoscope showed i had gerd and bile reflux. hida scan and ultrasound were negative for gallbladder issues. why do i have bile in stomach?

Bile reflux: Bile in stomach is usually due to bile from duodenum going back into stomach, duodenogastric reflux. This can be due to duodenal dysmotility. Bowel obstruction can produce a similar problem but usually results in vomiting bile.Bile in stomach can sometimes cause gastritis.Patients with cholecystectomy sometimes have this problem. Duodenogastric reflux  often can be diagnosed on hida scan.

elevated liver enzymes. alt- 72 ast- 59. all other labs are normal. liver/gallbladder ultrasound is normal. negative for hepatitis. what can cause it?

Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, it may be due to alcohol intake, medications you may be taking and/or from being overweight. If you drink, stop entirely and discuss any medications you take with your doctor.

i have right achey pain from below my ribs to my  upper back and nauseous on and off since november . saw gyn and had an ultrasound .. negative for ovarian cysts, fibroids , iud misplacment and endometriosis. pcp didn't think it waw my gallbladder.

Gallbladder: Hi, considering the location of pain it sounds more like gallbladder or liver issue. You should have an ultrasound gallbladder related. And have your liver enzymes checked, and your bilirubin levels checked.

what should i expect in a gallbladder ultrasound?

Ultrasound: Exam usually involves application of gel to get full contact of the probe against the abdominal wall skin, then placement of hand held probe on top of it to get scan images which appear on the machine monitor.  No pain, unless the underlying gallbladder is tender.  You do need to be npo for a gallbladder study.  Ask your doctor or radiologist for details.

Repeat study: Make sure you haven't had it removed (sometimes folks forget)!
most commonly the gallbladder is contracted and repeating the exam (after 12 hours of fasting) is advised. A contracted gallbladder can occur in the setting of chronic cholecystitis. Sometimes the gallbladder is in a location that makes it hard for the technologist to find. Lastly, some people are born without them (very rare!).

Gallbladder: Gallbladder ultrasound is good for evaluating gallstones, cholecystitis, detecting gallbladder masses, abnormal gallbladder distension, gallbladder sludge, and various other gallbladder related entities.
