Causes-Genes;stress: Main reason for hair loss is heredity. Also, stress can make you loose hair, (apart from medical conditions like low hemoglobin in blood) --- see a dermatologist, let him/her examine you and advise you.

i am 25 years old & my head hairs has stared falling. this is our family problem men hairs start falling before 30. any cure? which doctor to visit?

Accepted Answer

Yes: topical minoxidil (Rogaine) is effective for male pattern baldness but needs to be applied to the scalp as directed lifelong.  If use is stopped, newly grown hair will fall out again unfortunately.  Hair transplants (hair plugs) are an option as well, performed by a plastic surgeon.

good evening, doctor. can i ask, please? in our family, from my mum's side, there is lots of twins and also more left handed people through more generations. there is maybe even more females born then males. why do you think it is like that? thank y?

: Lefthandedness and having twins have some genetic basis meaning these can run in families. However, having males or females has been proven not to have a genetic basis.

Unlikely : It is unlikely that your growth plates are still open. If they are, they are nearly closed at your age and it is very unlikely that you will get much more longitudinal growth at age 21.

i'm a  fit 45 year old male who sometimes smokes. my immediate family history includes diabetes and heart disease. what tests should i ask my doc for?

Glucose and lipids: If your fasting glucose is normal, a glucose tolerance test is appropriate to diagnose diabetes. You should also have your cholesterol checked. Height, weight, blood pressure should be checked and your bmi calculated. You can't change your genes but you can reduce other risk factors - including smoking!

39 y/o male w/hx of gad & panic disorder. family doc started me on testosterone injects this a.m. after lab score of 216. reading cardio s.e. worried!

Cardio SE: of testosterone therapy are from poorly conducted studies of poorly controlled populations and the purported side effects have been vastly overblown by media in search of headlines.  However, if the planned injections are large doses every couple of weeks, the  big swings in your levels could make you feel worse.  Better for you to give small doses yourself a couple of times a week to avoid this.

Hormone replacement: Yes, your doctor should be able to guide you through this. If the doctor is not comfortable please see a Gynecologist.

hello, i am a 17 year old male and for the past few months i feel light headed/dizzy when i stand up after resting i am afraid of having orthostatic hypotension. i am on a 2 month vacation w family so i cant see a doc. any other reason at my age?

: Please stay well hydrated, monitor your Blood pressure. Discuss whether you should see a Cardiologist with your physician. Did you have a COVID 19 infection? If so, Long COVID has been associated with Cardiac conditions. Watch for shortness of breath and fainting.

Don't force it: Discuss the reasons why the person is not wanting to have an exam.  It could be fear or having had a bad experience. You could find a doctor that might be a better fit.  You can not force the person.

Accepted Answer

Minor only: Family pactice doctor usually do minor surgery such as repair laceraton. Minor office procedures only. Some does assist in surgery as an assistant with a surgeon.Since malpractic insurance is very high even as assitant, very few fp still do assistant in surgery anymore.
