Do what it takes.: I'm not sure that we are on the same page as to the meaning of necrosis. Having said that, any tissue that could have a statistical compromising influence on the successful out come of the surgery, should be dealt with appropriately.

Avascular necrosis: Is when the bone dies due to lack of blood, bone marrow edema is swelling within the confines of the bone. Did you have any kind of trauma to the bone ?

Hips ; Knees loose: Most of the time it's not actually the feet/toes, but normal inturning at the hips and knees. The babies ligaments have been stretched and cramped in the uterus, and also have been under the influence of maternal hormones designed to relax mom's pelvic ligaments in preparation for delivery. The ligaments in the baby also 'relax' causing the legs to turn in, giving the pigeon-toed appearance.

Circulation: Without a prior history of trauma to case bruising, my first thought would be poor circulation. As tissues receive less oxygenated blood, they turn blue and dusky. This needs to be checked promptly. See a podiatrist for an examination. If findings warrant, they will order circulation testing and possibly even refer you to a vascular surgeon.
