See physician: This could be a number of things, including nerve root irritation from your cervical spine, a brachial plexus injury from trauma or tumor, vascular, or even just referred pain from a shoulder injury. I wish i could be more help, but with a broad spread of pain and limited history, the best recommendation would be to see a doctor. Make sure to ask about above listed issues and see what they think.

: You seem worried more, you have had physical evaluation so hopefully you would get the reassurance or diagnosis after ultrasound. Do you breast feed? The armpit may just be reactive lymphnode. The sore muscles may just be from carrying the baby as you suggested and you could look for a different way like a front or back baby carrier to ease the strain on your left side.

This maybe a sign: That you had a disc herniation occur in neck or cervical spine with the neck pain being the time the actual disc was herniating and then the onset of arm symptoms with a nerve being compressed or pinched by the disc herniation.  Most get better without surgery but activity modification , traction , physical therapy ; medication can help.  Diagnosis can be made by MRI or ct ; injections may help.

Couple of things: Anything from a slipped disc to arthritis to thoracic outlet syndrome (a compression of nerves from bone, muscles or even veins/arteries) can cause this. I would start with your primary physician.

Muscular most likely: The most likely cause is myofascial or muscular pain. It is possible that certain positions you might be sleeping in could be the cause of your pain. If you are experiencing any numbness/tingling or weakness it is possible it is a pinched nerve in the neck.  If you're not having any of these nerve symptoms, I would suggest trying different pillows. Suggest trying to roll a towel for neck support.

Pinched nerve neck: Most common cause is osteoarthritis (degenerative disease) in the neck causing pinching of nerve roots going to arm and causing tingling and numbness. Lightheadedness seems another issue.
