my baby is 11 days old and his navel looks a bit raw and red?

Not uncommon: The umbilical stump is composed of arteries &amp; a vein that fed baby during pregnancy.As the cord stump dries &amp; separates,it may look raw/bleed.Usually only enough to cover a few q-tips.Local care as you would a scratch is all that is needed unless the bleeding persists.Occasionally the pediatrician needs to cauterize a stubborn bleeder in the office.

layed down for bed, & i noticed a small bit of discomfort /pain around my navel that comes & goes.it feels weird, should i be worried? pms or appendx?

Abdominal pain: The pain from an inflammed appendix starts most commonly around the navel, and may not be severe. If your appetite is decreased, and the pain moves to your lower right side of the abdomen, see your healthcare provider for tests to make sure you do not have appendicitis.

i have a very deep navel. ive never actually seen the bottom. i just tried cleaning it, which i normally dont do because its a bit painful. after doing so, i saw trace amounts of blood. did i just irritate the skin, or is it something of concern?

: You are asking a great question can need to be answered by having an in-person examination. I can't be certain but its likely you irritated the skin. See your primary care doctor

Need exam: Seborrheic dermatitis vs omphalitis. They are quite different Treatment depends on diagnosis. Be sure the Dr reads up on both.

Hernia: Be evaluated for cyst, or hernia in umbilical area - tract.
General surgeon is the usual choice.

Many possibilities: Could be a strain of the muscles attached to your rib cage from activity/exertion. If nausea, pain with eating, especially after a fatty meal, we worry about gallstones (unusual at your age but possible). If pain/burning with urination we worry about a kidney infection.  A urinalysis will exclude a kidney infection. If this persists or worsens, see your doctor!

my 2 weeks navel is a bit raw though the cord is detached. do i cover it or leave it exposed to heal faster. i apply surgical spirit regularly to prevent infections.

Exposed: The surgical spirit &amp; exposure to air should help it dry/heal. If there appears to be a sore within the site the doc may need to apply a silver nitrate to it to speed healing.Most will heal if you continue what you are doing and leave it open to air out.

my 3 year old sister got a skin burn little bit above her navel 2 weeks ago. the scar is 2 inches long and 0.45 inches wide. does the scar disappear?

Depends on degree: Most burns that either turn the skin red or blister, but the underlying skin remains pink, will leave a dis colored area for a long time which eventually fades.  If the skin at the burn base is white, or full thickness, it will keep a permanent scar.

my daughter has small clusters of what looks lk bug bites on her left leg, hip, & below her navel. she hasn't been outside. they itch & are spreading. what could it be & should i take her to urgent cr?

Children's hospital: You can go to urgent care.  But many times there diagnosis is less accurate than at a children's hospital.  Kids are not small adults after all.

increase in passing gas, nausea felt from below navel.  woke up with this. no appetite. ate a few bites of salad the night before. no fever.

Watch closely: Your symptoms may be just viral caused.
But sometimes other abd problems will start with similar complaints.
The next few hours will give you more direction
If the abd pain increases, or localizes to one area--especially- the right lower abd, then you need to get medical visit immediately.
Appendicitis may present early with your symptoms.
