Possibly: If you are already at an ideal body weight, eat a healthy diet including limiting alcohol intake and exercise regularly you may have done most of what can be done naturally. As to non-drug remedies beyond these measures, I have to admit ignorance. Consultig with your personal caregiver may be helpful. Even if the above measures don't achieve a normal blood pressure they are good for us anyway!

No: There are really no alternative natural remedies. However, weight loss, exercise, a diet low in sodium and high in potassium, smoking cessation can frequently decrease the need for medications.

No, but.....: There isn't a good alternative "natural" remedy, but there are many great alternatives to tenoretic (atenolol and chlorthalidone).  Tenoretic (atenolol and chlorthalidone) contains chlorthalidone, which is a good BP med for most people.  Tenoretic (atenolol and chlorthalidone) also contains atenolol which is a terrible BP med.  It has numerous side effects including wt gain, depression, shortness of breath, increase blood sugar, ed and more.  See your doctor for an rx alternative now.

Atenolol can cause: depression.  Atenolol is a beta-blocker, used to treat high blood pressure or rapid heart rate.  Beta-blockers can cause fatigue and depression.  There are many other medications available to treat high blood pressure.

Yes: The main question is whether her hypertension is adequately managed with inderal (propranolol). If it is managed appropriately it is unlikely that 10 mg of Inderal (propranolol) is causing adverse effect on her brain. However if she is having any symptoms that can be construed as due to the inderal (propranolol), perhaps an agent from a different class would be more suitable. We have believed that the beta blockers have psych se's.

. This particular diet agents can cause liver damage. It has garcinia cambodia in it. It has very little to recommend in terms of actual weight loss. It would be a waste of your money. You don't put your doses down of Suboxone and xanax (alprazolam). I hope that your Suboxone prescriber is aware of the xanax (alprazolam).I also hope that you are aware of the potential risks of the combination. It is not an absolute contraindication to use them both together, but caution certainly is encouraged and i think that a sleep study on the combination should be done to make sure that you are not having any formof obstructive or central apnea, both of which could lead to weight gain. Yes: Melatonin is safe. You can also try Benadryl (diphenhydramine). Don't use Tylenol pm as a sleep aid only since it has acetaminophen (in addition to the Benadryl (diphenhydramine)) which you probably not need.
