Generally, no: Not aware of common nasal meds that would cause thyroid enlargement, more info needed.

?: You where probably exposed to something you are allergic to, OTC antihistamines would help until you see a doctor asap, avoid driving yourself, ER if worse

can it be silent reflux? post nasal drip and feeling like the throat (whole neck area) is expanded. nasal spray, sinus rinse & omeprazole do not help.

Hard to say: Silent reflux in the presence of post nasal drip is more commonly associated with cough and throat irritation.  
Not sure what you mean by throat / neck expansion. 
It doesn&#x27;t sound like your throat swells suddenly which would be angioedema.  Another possibility is an enlarged thyroid gland.

my 3 month old baby has cough and his right neck side is swollen.. doctor said jis lymph node swollen and prescribed fenistil drops twice a day and saline nasal spray. will that reduce his cough and swelling.?

: I see no reason to believe the swollen neck has anything to do with a cold. At that age it is usually the sternomastoid/neck muscle complex from muscle stretching at birth. This may need physical therapy if true. Keeping the nose open with the saline nasal spray is a good idea.

Probably not: I previously answered this question but i did not address the question of sinusitis.  If the over the counter nasal spray is used too long, it is possible that the small openings to the paranasal sinuses could be eventually obstructed and lead to a rhino-sinusitis.  Again, let an ENT doctor or allergist manage your nasal problems.

can i take stacker 2 or3 and use synex 12 hour nasal spray ? right now i take zyrtec for my sinus  problem also.

No nasal decongestan: Be aware that over the counter nasal decongestant sprays are extremely addictive and should only be used for 3 days max. You can use zyrtec d or go to your doc and get a prescription for a steroid nasal sprays that is much better and is not habit forming.

Yes: Afrin spray is a powerful decongestant spray that makes blood vessels constrict. If used longer than a few days there may be a rebound effect causing more nasal congestion and ultimately can damage the nasal lining.

Sneezing: Nasal spray and antihistamines can help but if you want to get to the rootof the problem see an allergist and get tested. They can guide you on your best options depending on what you are reacting to.

Probably not: Any over the counter nasal spray used for more than a few days may cause a condition called rhinitis medicamentosa.  This condition may lead to irreversible damage to cilia (small hairs of the mucosa) and rebound where the nose is worse than before you started the medication.  Any nasal condition, whether allergic or non-allergic should be managed by an ENT doctor.
