Allergies: Given the time of year and the fact that your mucous is clear/white, you probably are having mild allergy symptoms or you could have caught a cold.  Either way, rinse your nose with saline and you might want to try an anti-histamine.  They are all over-the-counter.

Many causes: Nasal ulcers can occur due to a variety of things. Nasal sprays, when sprayed on the septum (the divider between l and r halves of the nose) can cause irritation and ulcers. Physical trauma (e.g., nose picking) can cause ulcers. Cocaine will stop blood flow to the lining of the nose, leading to ulcers. Vasculitis can cause bleeding or ulcers. Discuss your symptoms with an otolaryngologist (ent).

Mucosal breakdown: Ulcerations in the nose are areas of superficial (partial) breakdown of the protective mucosal membrane. This creates shallow regions of inflammation, redness, and crusting in the nose.

Consult ENT: If you have a crusty sore, it is likely from an infection which can probably be treated with topical antibiotic. Another condition is from vasomotor rhinitis and sinusitis needs be ruled out.  If the discharge is unilateral and you had sustained a head trauma prior , will need to check for CNS fluid leak. It is unlikely an autoimmune problem. See ENT

5 yrs ago one side of my face started to atrophy. the eye is now sunk in, cheekbone is more hollow, & nose deviated to that side. i had tooth issues on that side & havent been chewing on it. i also have autoimmune disease issues. looking for cause?

Local cause: Call your dentist ASAP today!  This is not a systemic problem, rather it is local to your mouth. You will require an exam to detainee actual cause, but thus is very serious and needs to be diagnosed now!  Call now!

May be urgent: If this is just developing at this very minute, you may be in the early stages of a severe allergic reaction ("Steven-Johnson Syndrome") which is a medical emergency. If this is acute, TO IMMEDIATELY TO AN EMERGENCY ROOM. If this is not acute, it still will require careful evaluation.

Autoimmune nose sore: Reasons for nasal sores are many . From an autoimmune basis it could be seen in lupus, sjogren's, bechet's disease, wegener's granulamatosis, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, autoimmune vasculitis , phemphigus, anca vasculitis and Cocaine nasal inhalation are some examples. 
Early stage lesions can be treated with topical steroids, topical/systemic antibiotics ann rx of autoimmune disease.

Possibly: If the sore was caused by mrsa, it is unlikely to return after eradication , but the sore could have been due to some other disease and the MRSA was simply of colonizer of the sore.

Yes: I believe you can as long as you are not allergic to it. You should just check to make sure that it does not destroy the nasal cannulaor interfere with the delivery of the oxygen.

Most likely staph: It is most likely a staph infection of the hair follicles inside your nose. You can get some Bacitracin ointment over-the-counter and rub it inside your nostril a few times a day over the next few days and it should get better. If not you should see an ENT doctor for a more complete evaluation.
