my doctor put me on a zpack, naproxen and nasonex (mometasone) for a horrible sinus infection. i had facial pain, tooth pain andheadache. now i have kidney soreness in the back. i am on prozac. what should i do?

Related?: Nonsteroidal antiinflammatory agents like Naproxen may have adverse effects on kidney function, but this is quite rare considering the number of persons using these medications. Inform your doctor of your new symptoms to receive appropriate evaluation and care.

i've been prescribed prednisone for my sinus infection . i take 1 daily for 5 days . i took 1 yesterday at 1:00 p.m . i took 2 aleve at 7:30 a.m , can i take my prednisone or will it cause damage ?

Ask Prescriber: Ask your prescribing doctor if you can stop the prednisone. It could be irritating your stomach and causing you the nausea and vomiting. You may still need it- don't have that information available. These are general recommendations.
I would consult your doctor as soon as possible to feel better. Sounds like you have are getting over sinusitis and picked up something else

What is the question: Zpack is an antibiotic (zithromax) which is safe to take with Aleve (naproxen) which is an anti-inflammatory pain reliever which can alleviate the symptoms of sinus congestion pain (a decongestant may help as well if your blood pressure is fine - eg. Pseudoephedrine). I am not a fan of the 5 hour energy drink- but probably not harmful in this situation if only 1. You may need rest for recovery.

every time i get a sinus infection i have this weird, almost sweet but yet, annoyingly sweet smell in my nose. its with every infection ive had since 2018. ive had drs tell me its normal live with it. i dont want to live with it?

: Sinus infections are usually triggered by upper respiratory viral infections. Get Covid and Flu vaccinations. Using a mask in public places will protect against respiratory infection and prevent sinus infections. Doing steam inhalation to help in clearing out the sinuses may shorten the time you experience this smell.

You may have both: A 2 day episode of sweating at night sounds like a viral upper respiratory tract infection.  Green nasal discharge may be the start of a viral rhino-sinusitis.  The general rule is that if you are getting worse after 5 days, an antibiotic is appropriate, and if you are not better in 10 days, an antibiotic should be considered.  Bottom line is if not better after 5 days see your physician.

im on amoxicillin and ive had weird stool lately, it was dark almost black and one looked like a long parasite. is this normal and should i continue use? im on day 5 its for a sinus infection?

: You must continue the antibiotics until complete otherwise you risk having a desensitised bacterial strain. It is quite common for antibiotics to interfere with the normal balance of gut flora and so cause changes in the nature of the stool. It will pass, eat yogourt!
