Options: Which part of the tongue burns (i.e. Whole tongue, tip, back, only one side?)  this could be related to cervical issues, metals in your crowns if they are new, tooth paste, chewing gum, etc... Many options, but start with anatomy, that is which nerve is involved.  You may need a qualified physician to help you rule out causes.

Geographic tongue: Is an inflammatory condition of the mucous membrane of the tongue, usually on the dorsal surface. It is a common condition, affecting approximately 2-3%. May also have a burning sensation.

It is temporary: Our tongue is prone to get affected by what we eat and drink. There are many viruses that can cause sores on the tongue. Most often our immune system heals these afflictions.
If it is not better in 2-3 days take a short course of Vitamin-c, 500 mg, 1 tablets daily for one week. it is harmless yet, it may do you good as it improves the immune system.

Tongue: Irritability or low grade inflammation of the tongue or superficial nerves of the tongue could be due to vitamin deficiency or intolerance to toothpaste,mouth wash, or may be of unknown cause. If this persists or worsens you   could consult the oral pathology department at a dental school for full evaluation.

It will heal: It will heal but it may take some time.  Avoid hot and spicy foods and avoid traumatizing your tongue.  A soft diet may be helpful and drinking cold beverages will help sooth the area.  Over time conservative therapy will help your tongue recover on its own.
