Under 180mg: Blood sugar leevels go up after eating but typically remain under the threshold level of 180mg, above which kidney can not handle the sugar which begins to show up in the urine. That would be abnormal and indication of glucose intolerance, in other words suggestive of diabetes.

hello, i wake up, eat and then feel buzzed it comes and goes. i dont drink alcohol, my waking sugar level is 82, my blood sugar after food is 96 ish. i eat healthy and cut out sugar. sugar leads to feeling hypoglycemic after an hour. my bp is 123/78?

: Some people do get reactive hypoglycemia after eating concentrated sweets but you haven't documented that you experience it. Your sugar spikes up, your body releases insulin to lower the blood sugar but it keeps dropping &amp; goes too low after a few hours.  If you do have reactive hypoglycemia, the treatment is avoidance of concentrated sweets. Starches aren't as much of a problem, though.

my blood sugar levels are 200 measured 2 hours after food. i have been advised medication by my pcp. i have drastically cut down on carbs in the last 3 days. i still feel fatigued and thirsty all the time. 
is it related to food intake?

Blood Sugar: Three hours after eating one's blood sugar level should return to 'fasting' levels. Labs, when doing fasting sugars recommend that be eight to twelve hours. But, three hours post meal one's sugar should return to 'normal'.

Can't confirm: Fasting blood glucose greater than 126 confirmed on another occasion defines diabetes. Sounds like you meet part of the criteria.  You should see doc to confirm and measure hemoglobin a1c.

why keep it at 6?: I have no idea why you want to keep it at 6. A level of 4 (or 72 mg/dl) is perfectly healthy and should not cause any symptoms. Some people will get symptoms below 3.3. It is a bit unusual but not dangerous to have levels that low. No problem eating that much carbs but still avoid sugars and starches; choose complex carbs. Consider seeing an endocrinologist and checking your Insulin levels.

: No, appetite loss is much more common with cancer or antibiotic use. I think the hungriness is due to your drastic change in your diet and your body has not gotten used to it but you will eventually.

System response: This does seem unusual. It may be that your system is becoming more cholinergic to foods. This means that there is an enhanced "fight or flight" response resulting in your symptoms. I would recommend smaller meals with simpler foods non-complex carbohydrates and simple proteins. Using simple antihistamines such as loratadine may be helpful if there is a histamine response to foods. I would also keep a food diary to determine if any foods or worse triggers and others. Deafly share this with your physician.
