Get scientific Rx: You need to be under the care of a physican who is capable at diagnosing diabetes, ruling out its mimics, and treating you long-term. There is no way you can do this by yourself, though i hope you'll comply with fitness recommendations that you are sure to be given. Good luck.

Metformin&Cut carbs!: You must have metabolic syndrome! clearly Insulin resistant. You are almost doing a GTT on yourself, which would be diabetic. Are you? My recommendation: see your pcp; ask about metformin, which increases Insulin sensitivity; go on a low carb diet; and get a lipid profile and your hgba1c. Your BP should be checked. Good luck!
