Contacts OK: Your description is that of a well healed stye.  There should be no conflict with contact lense wear which you can start whenever you want.

Popping not always: This is an internal stye.  Some of these have enough pressure to break through with secretion but relief of the pain.  In the meantime you should apply very warm , but not hot soaks to the eye for 4 minutes at a time and 5 times per day which will very likely end the stye.

Chalazion: it is likely due to an obstructed lid gland which now has granulomatous scarring.  iT CAN BE REMOVED SURGICALLY IF IT DOES NOT REspOND TO WARM COMPRESSES.

i've had a stye for about 2 days.  still hurts to blink. woke this morning to a very pronounced bag under that eye. should i be as concerned as i am?

Pain?: Is there any pain or increased temperature or redness?  If so you should be concerned that there may be an infection. If not and is only fluid, it is probably fluid from the sty and laying down. See an ophthalmologist.

STYE RESOLVING: Seems like a stye which is partly resolving on its on.But i will suggest you have it checked by your doctor or an ophthalmologist as you might need antibiotics if indicated.

Avoid if possible: The style is a clogged eyelid gland and wearing make up can potentially make it worse. Try some warm compresses for 10-15 minutes a couple of times a day followed by eyelid massage to try and open up the glands. If the entire eyelid becomes tender, red, and swollen, see your doctor...it could be cellulitis. Take care.

A : A stye is a red, tender bump that can develop a yellow spot in the middle, on the eyelid or right where the eyelash meets the skin. It is caused by an infection in the oil glands of the eyelid.  Warm compresses allows blood vessels to dilate and clean the area.  The following is a method that some of the ophthalmologists on avvo.Com have recommended.  Microwave a clean potato with the skin on for four minutes.  Wet a wash cloth or small towel with warm or hot water. Squeeze out the excess water and wrap it around the potato. Apply this to the eye lid until it cools down (about 15minutes).This can be repeated intermittently. 
   If you have visual changes you need to see  an opthamologist. By, the way, i can't tell why you have "eye lift" tagged.  Normally a stye would not cause blindness.

Stye: I would certainly avoid contacts.  Make up should make no difference except avoid on the eyelid.

Sometimes bad luck: Though it could be related to you having thicker secretions around the eye.  You could try using warm compresses regularly in the morning and evening.  Also make sure you hygeine is good so that you aren't spreading bacteria in that region and don't share cosmetics.  You could have other inflammatory issues around the eye - like blepharitis - that may contribute too.  See a doctor for more help.
