More info: No pain? When do you get the discomfort ? What type? How long does it last? Anything make it better? Anything make it worse? Does food affect the feeling? Have you had any surgery ? How long has it been there? Have you tried any medications? Did they work? Did you injure yourself? Pulled muscle etc? Has anyone done any studies? Need a bit more.

Stomach/esophagus : You may want to start with bread and bland foods with lots of fluids. You may want to start on acid producing inhibitors after you see a physician . Acid burns to the stomach and esophagus can cause scarring.

: Yes and bending over also could promote acid reflux which also causes discomfort the middle under the rib cage.  It would be best to have your doctor assess  you and treat the problem.

Misinformed...: Unless you have a contraindication to eating grains and oats, there is no reason to restrict these foods from your diet specifically to "heal stomach faster."  What IS appropriate/recommended, if medically possible in your case, is avoidance of NSAID's (aspirin, Advil, (ibuprofen) Aleve), tobacco, and a significant reduction in alcohol.  Be well--

ctscan said everything good but i think i have colitis like my dad did.i do have ibs but i manage that.i feel inflamed,bloated,plus burning stomach.

Colitis vs IBS: More or less the same, CT abdomen won't rule it in or out, you may want to see a gastroenterologist or seek a second opinion, as a scope may be needed, best wishes

took milk thistle. stomach upset so stopped. same time had flu (not stomach flu) but lost appetite & nauseous esp after food. feels like when my gallbladder was inflamed. have i caused damage?

Probably not: But if the symptoms persists for more than a week or gets worse, you need to see a doctor since the problem may not be related to milk thistle at all.
