It may be normal : It may be normal at age 18 in a male. But i will recommend that you have it checked by your doctor to make sure it is not a tumor, which is  very unlikely but for your satisfaction.

Hard/sor nipple male: You are eighteen and you probebely still in puberty.It is not unusual for teenage boys to have breast swelling and painful lumps in nipples and breast enlargement dut to estrogen which is produced during puberty along with testosterone
but as a precaution consult your doctor to rule out other causes.

Gynecomastia: Sounds like gynecomastia - a benign enlargement of breast tissue.  I would recommend talking with your physician about it at your next visit.

Could be normal: It is most likely normal breast development that adolescent males get while going through puberty. It usually resolves or you may get the same "lump " in the other breast, before both sides resolve. Cancer of the breast is rare at 16 y. See a  doctor to physically exam the lump if it continues to bother you.

Hard to say: Your description does not provide much to go on. Size, shape, texture. color, thickness, etc.  all are features that might clarify the cause. Without these it would require a visual inspection &amp; maybe some tests to know.

Uncommon.: Relax, wash are with soap and water, apply antibiotic ointment, and sterile band aid, change bras daily. Fortunately, the scabbed over stage is the least infectious. Most likely, since 8/10 people have antibodies to HSV I, you may already be infected before this incident.
Minimize stress right now. Breast lesions are rare.

: Could be gynecomastia which is common in young people. Please get seen in person for an ultrasound to confirm this.

: If one nipple is persistently much firmer than the other,I'm less inclined to attribute this to hormonal factors and recommend being examined by your gynecologist. Clogged ducts could be an issue but other pathology should be ruled out also especially if there's associated tenderness or swelling underneath.
