See a provider: It could be a bladder or kidney infection. See your primary doctor for testing. If you cannot be seen quickly, consider an urgent care center or even an emergency room (though that will be more expensive).

hurt ribs(front right)pain in ribs is now gone but my lower back is hurting can't stand up, any ideas on if these two are related? thank you

Possibly both could-: Have been hurt together, or one can have 2 different things going wrong at the same time.
Generally in falls, the person tries to turn (avoiding to fall or break his fall) ; can pull a ms or two, causing pain, while the impact of the fall (say on to the ribs) will result in painful ribs from a bruise or break.
Taking pain meds, a ms relaxer, hot packs, and gentle exercises would help.

Impossible to know: without an in-person exam and possibly imaging. It could be something benign like lumbar strain, or something else like early arthritis. Try to keep a pain journal to figure out when this happens, and why it is changing sides. Would help your doc a great deal.

Low back pain: Low back pain is common and generally not worrisome.  Pain that happens with change is positions  is mechanical and may be muscular, disc, or even the joints. The sacroiliac joints connect the back and hips, and are often pain generators. Keep active, keep muscles in shape, and see a spine specialist if you have numbness or weakness, loss of bowel or bladder control, fevers, or worsening pain.

Physical therapies: Sounds musculoskeletal, interestingly on both sides. Possibly strain/sprain of lower spine and/or pelvic muscles & ligaments. An osteopath or physiatrist should be able to discern cause. Physical therapy, massage, & acupuncture might offer treatment.  The largest joint in the axial spine is sacroiliac joint, which at 17 square centimeters is a large target for acute & repetative mechanical stress.

had a ingualhernia surgery with epidural, days later my lower back is hurting so bad i can even sleep   is it normal. it's been 4 days

Back pain: The pain should be getting better, you may have little soreness over the puncture site in the back not bad pain, have it checked out.

It certainly can: See your rheumatologist to make sure there is not any other progressive issues or damage occurring. Discuss interventional options as well if you have either disc or facet problems, both of which can be affected. Also make sure they take a look at a joint called an si joint, or sacroiliac joint to see of there is any inflammation there.

Muscle pain: This could be a simple as muscle spasm. Muscle spasms can come from stress, or muscle strain from lifting heavy things or strenuous activity. Something that might relieve the pain of muscle strain or spasm are warm compresses, Epsom salt soaking baths, home stretching exercises, massage therapy, and over-the-counter pain relivers. However, if this pain does not resolve on its own, see your doctor.

i had total hysterectomy 4 months ago. yesterday i lifted my 7 yr. old(56lbs). since then my lower back is hurting terribly. is it normal?

Back pain post op: The surgery of 4 months ago should not at all be related to the back pain of today. If you are not physically fit or did not resume a fitness program post op then the vertebral and back muscles may have been strained during the child  "lift". I am assuming that you returned to the GYN MD and received an "all clear" for resuming physical activity.

iv had sciatica twice, and now my lower back is hurting again and i felt a small lump under my skin on the left side lower back what could it be?

Lipoma or cyst: In that area of the back its no uncommon to have small benign lumps of subcutaneous tissue.  It  most likely not related to you sciatica.  See your health care provider Or an osteopathic  physician for an evaluation if this persists..  Could be simple. Mechanical/ structural  spine issue.
