No: The hallmark of DVT is asymmetric (unilateral) swelling: one leg, not the other. A tape measurement of both legs at the same distance from the ankle is the best way to determine this as appearance can be misleading. Your description is not consistent with DVT.

1 leg or both? Fevr?: The situation is rather complex. There are many questions to be asked &amp; we need a picture or an exam in order to understand what's going on. 21 days is an awful long time to take antibiotics. ?vein problems: Tightness in the lower legs can be caused by insufficiency of the veins. Even if you don't have varicose veins, the internal veins could be the problem. Do your legs feel better when they're elevated or with support hose on? If so your physician may order venous ultrasounds of your legs for further evaluation.

Leg swelling: The lumps may be insect bites even though they're not itchy. If the leg is truly swollen, it should be checked for phlebitis, edema or inflammation.

tight feeling without edema mean venous circulation is compromised
walk often.
avoid long sitting and standing.
if your job required that get up and stretch often.
keep leg elevated when you can.
take a baby ASA daily
avoid sodas,pops,energy drinks.
minimize your caffeine,but do not stop it.
drink a plenty of water.
