Possible infection: The inflammation and chills may be an indication of an infection. Go back to your dentist to have the area evaluated.

Get an exam : If it's not related to any infected tooth near by, then it might need to be biopsied to determine its nature , to rule out any cancer tissues, either way you need to see a dentist to have it examined.

Vague: Is it the tooth, the gum tissue or both that hurt to touch?  Also, is the tooth temperature sensitive or to biting down.  It could be a gum infection, but hard to tell.  I would see a dentist asap to make sure there is no infection or that nothing is lodged in the gum between the tooth and gingival tissue.

White spot: It sounds like either a tooth or gum abcess.  It might also be a canker sore. Only a clinical exam with x-rays can make an accurate diagnosis.

Perio evalution: See your local dentist to determine the cause and how best to prevent and/or minimize further recession.  It is usually related to poor oral hygiene, poor or inadequate brushing and flossing techniques, stress, malocclusion, and para-functional habits. At your age it is easily remedied with your cooperation.

Dentist: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you and your symptoms warrant evaluation by a dentist. 
I trust that you are brushing and flossing regularly, if not then do make it a routine.

Get examined: Depends on location. Upper or lower jaw area.  Since when?  Does eating or chewing or drinking or talking hurt too? Constant or occasional pain?  Any change in breath or amount of saliva?  Dental cleanings up to date?  Also need to think of TMJ or salivary stones.  Best to get this looked at by your personal physician, as sometimes more concerning things, however rare, could appear.   Yours, Zmd

Time: Should heal in a few days.  In the meantime keep area clean (brush and floss), rinse 3x/day w 1 tsp salt in 8 oz warm water, take analgesics if necessary.  If it doesn't heal, see your dentist.

More info needed: There is so many possible answer to this question, they are: 1)gingivitis (gum inflammation), 2) occlusion (an underbite patient), 3) trauma due to brushing with hard/medium tooth brush, 4) dry mouth or sjogren syndrome 5) rampant decay in lower front teeth...  Schedule an exam with your dentist.  More information needed prior to make a definitive diagnosis.
