part of my arm is swollen and hurts on the inside, d dimer level 0.55 and sometimes i feel twitches in my chest. could it be a blood clot traveling?

Possible: Do you have a history of DVT?  With an elevated D dimer and a swollen extremity I would get yourself evaluated as soon as you can. Consider going in to the ER for evaluation tonight.  Good luck and I hope you're feeling better soon.

Thromboplebitis.: This is most likely due to irritation of veins.Suggest using extra strength tylenol (acetaminophen) 1-2 tabs every day for 2 to 3 days.This kind of irritation gets better in 2-3 days.See you M.D. If your symptoms persist.

my dad has a growth on his arm. it looks like a bubble. he tried to pop it but nothing but a little blood came out and it got swollen.

He needs to be seen: I can't be sure what the blister was without seeing it.  If the area is swollen it could be a skin infection and he needs to seek treatment.

Absolutely!: This is common with central lines, pacemakers, or indwelling catheters, like quinton dialysis catheters. It causes obstruction of the main veins of the arm (axillary, basillic, or subclavian) and can cause arm swelling. This is similar to a DVT in the leg.

blew a vein 3 weeks ago while getting blood, it healed today i woke up and it's swollen and my arm hurts to move it. is this normal?

Hematoma: Well, it leaked again. An elastic  sleeve, carefully applied elastic bandage and some ice 20" as needed. Check your blood for bleeding tendencies.  I do not believe this is unusual. Speak to someone at the blood bank,

i just found out i have a blood clot in my arm and started a thinner last night in the mean time my are is very swollen what can i do about that?

Elevate it: above the level of your heart by either propping it on something or intermittently let it hang from something (not tight) that is up over your head to help reduce the swelling.  Contact the doc who diagnosed the clot and prescribed with what is happening; and if there is much pain at all, or feeling of heat in the skin, discoloration or loss of feeling in your hand, get seen as soon as possible.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you and your symptoms warrant evaluation by a physician.  The symptoms are not likely to be due to the blood test a few months ago.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

i had a blood test done 2weeks ago.2 days after i have/still have pain when stretch arm.dont have good vains.took 2 trys only bit swollen/sore?

Traumatic phlebitis: It is not uncommon for the vein to be inflamed after being punctured for a blood draw.  It can take 3-4 weeks to resolve.  If the area gets warmer or redder or more painful or you get a fever, it may have become infected and you need to see a doctor.  In the meantime, anti-inflammatory creams like Voltaren (diclofenac) gel might help it improve faster.

my cat bit me really bad on my arm i was wearing a sweather so no open wounds or blood, only the area is a bit red and swollen? washed it should i be concerned about tetanus or other issues?

Accepted Answer

Yes: Cat bites can inject germs into the wound that will cause a significant cellulitis. Any break in the skin may trigger tetanus, but other germs would be more likely. A tetanus booster would be reasonable if you have not had one in 10 yrs. I would see your doc if the area is red &amp; swollen. It likely requires antibiotics now before it gets worse &amp; lands you in the hospital.

i have been waking up lately with my thumb and first two fingers swollen with blood, when i extend and raise my arm the swelling is relieved.

Circulation.: I am assuming you mean swelling from excess blood flow and not actual blood.
Could be a DVT in the arm. It would be important to have an exam done and maybe some testing.
