Listen: Acne is ALWAYS managable if the physician knows what he/she is doing. You're an adult and acne is a major personal and professional liability. If topical benzoyl peroxide wasn't enough (and I trust you're using this and/or retinoic acid), systemic tetracycline, topical clindamycin, systemic spironolactone, the oral contraceptive pill and/or "Accutane" are all options.

Adjunct only: There are better topical antibiotics for which resistance is less of a problem. Never use an antibiotic as sole treatment for acne. If for some reason you cannot get a standard treatment from your physician, using this along with topical benzoyl peroxide for a time might be worth a try. Acne is a serious chronic non-lifestyle related disease that can be managed scientifically. Best wishes.

Use a real Rx: This won't help -- the antibiotic is too little, too late. Use 5% topical benzoyl peroxide 2x/day and if you're not clear in two weeks, get with your personal physician for prescription-strength medication that can clear you. Nowadays, all acne is manageable until it self-cures, and untreated it is a serious personal and professional liability. Best wishes.

Terrible choice: This is an over-the-counter antibiotic. It will do little for acne except encourage bacterial resistance; you should be using something scientific like topical benzoyl peroxide plus if needed prescription-strength medication from your physician. It's worse than useless for contact dermatitis, eczema, and if you self-treat an undiagnosed rash, you ignore possible serious illness at your own peril.

my baby has broken out with baby acne and it had become more red, dry and some have developed a small scab. they arent weeping. can i put mupirocin on?

Yes: I love mupirocin. If it is not helping in 1-2 days have your pediatrician see the baby.

a week ago, i got a cystic acne bump on my chin. i tried using dapzone and arazalo to treat it, and i probably overused it. i noticed a rash formed around the bump, and now another cystic bump appeared next to it. should i use mupirocin to treat it?

: I assume both dapsone &amp; arazolo are capable of provoking inflammation. I recommend that you apply warm compresses to the inflamed regions &amp; bumps, pat dry,apply mild cortisone type cream and the mupurocin to combat bacteria. If not gradually improving see your MD or a dermatologist for evaluation, treatment and follow-up.

Vaginal Acne: Keep the hair short in the vaginal area . 
put gloves on &amp; apply the cream or gel to the affected area . Wash often change panties often . Wear cotten panties to absorb sweat .
OR you can use Q-tips , using all the above precautions .

dr prescribed me bactroban cream to use 3x day. to use on pimples/on bum pubic area. can i apply the ointment on top instead of washing in between??

NO!: The washing "in between" is VERY NECESSARY .. 
 (It's like not changing your underwear!!)

Pimple treatment: You will need to see your doctor for possible  oral antibiotocs.  &amp; if is too big it might need to be drained. Feel better
