There is a lot of individual variation, and equivalency tables are often wrong and dangerous.

: Am very concerned about your depiction.  Opioids should have been necessitated for only one week, and it appears that you are at sky-high risk for addiction, amongst other problems. Mixing narcotics : Yes, provided the drugs are prescribed &amp; monitored by your physician. Vicodin (hydrocodone/acetaminophen) is a short acting oral narcotic analgesic to be taken as needed for moderate-severe pain. Oral Morphine may be immediate release or sustained release (long acting). Most commonly a sustained release Morphine will be prescribed with short acting  hydrocodone for "rescue" or "breakthrough pain".

Very cautiously : Xanax (alprazolam) can be used with narcotics with close physician management. The sedating properties of the medications are increased when used together and respiratory depression is increased. Use without doctor management can lead to death.
