Lymphoma: Stage II ymphoma same side of diaphragm or in a nearby organ IIE. 
Stage III is in nodes on both sides of the diaphragm or into an area or organ next to the lymph nodes is noted with an E ,IIIE, or into the spleen IIIS or both III SE.  Stage IV is in an organ not right next to a lymph node and bulky disease has an X qualifier. Good luck to your Mom and God bless.

Familial lymphoma: Majority is not. However familial aggregation of patients with lymphoma has been noted. A study estimated that  the absolute lifetime risk for a 1st-degree relative of an nhl case to develop nhl is 3.6% (compared with a population risk of 2.1%) and higher in the aggressive subtype of nhl.

Be supportive: Go to one of her oncology appointments to listen to her doctor & get more information. Results from current treatments can be highly successful. Learn more & be informed. Be upbeat around her & help her when you can, even with small things. She may need your support. And have a yearly physical examination yourself.

It depends: There are several types of b cell lymphomas. With stage 2 disease most have a very good prognosis. The type of this lymphoma helps with treatment plan and prognosis. You want to ask the type and if it is indolent, intermediate or high grade. The oncologist should be able to explain the meaning of that for you.

Great question: Recent publication in the new england journal of medicine in february 2012 showing depending on risk, either 2 cycles of abvd followed by radiation or 4 cycles of abvd.  Now, again depends on risk stratification.  If there is not a complete response after 4 cycles of abvd, then radiation or additional chemotherapy is needed.  Hope this helps.

Depends on type: Essentially three types of lymphomas.  High grade, intermediate grade and low grade.  If high grade needs treatment emergently and if not treated, will progress rapidly and the patient will develop severe problems.  Intermediate grade needs treatment on an urgent basis.  Low grade may never need treatment.  High grade and intermediate grade curable.  Low grade not curable.  Hope this helps.

See below...: Lymphoma, like any other untreated cancer, will continue to progress and cause progressive organ dysfunction and increasingly severe systemic problems.

is there an alternative for severe stage 2 cystocele other than mesh? i am an athlete, mom of 4, post hysterectomy from hpv 4 yrs, & only 36. help!

Yes: Mesh is definitely not your only option.  Doctors can suspend vagina wall from the inside/abdomen as well.  If it were me, and i were 36 years of age, i would not recommend vaginal mesh in you.  You are way too young.  Of course pessary is an option too, in the meantime while you make a decision.  Or for long term. See a urogynecologist, board certified, to make sure you are in the best hands.

what is the best way to recover from low wbc after chemotherapy (r-cvp for stage 2 diffuse large b-cell lymphoma) for a very elderly (85y) patient?

It depends.: R-cvp is a relatively milder regimen and therefore it does not usually result in very low wbcs. In general, modest decrease in WBC is expected and is not associated with higher risk for infections unless WBC become very low with neutrophil count below 500. If this is the case, you doctor may decide to use a growth factor given after chemotherapy to stimulate your bone marrow to produced wbcs.

my mom died from planocelular tonsilar cancer stage 2, doctor said that she couldn't be saved but i am thinking that if they tried they could help her?

You may be right: Stage 2 cancers are mostly curable. Although a small percentage of them(10-15%) can still prove fatal as they may not respond to treatment. But one must always try to treat early cancers as they are mostly curable. Late stages( stage-4) are sometimes left untreated but tonsillar cancer has high cure rates even for stages 1, 2 and 3.
