: I would estimate almost zero chance of ovarian cancer. Most likely pregnant statistically. Get tested unless pregnancy is not possible.

Depends: There are many causes to irregular bleeding.  It is best to have this evaluated by your doctor.

You : You are experiencing irregular periods. This may be due to anovulation, which basically means you may not be ovulating. When ovulation stops a hormonal imbalance occurs in your body, which ultimately leads to a thickened uterine lining. This lining is eventually shed t(your period) however this happens in an abnormal pattern, as in your case., 
reasons for anovulation are:
sudden weight fluctuations(increase or decrease)
stress/anxiety
polycystic ovarian syndrome (pcos)
thyroid disorders..Etc
i recommend you consult your primary care provider or gynecologist for a work up of your irregular periods.

Check again: Yes you should check again. If you think you might be pregnant then check every three days for at least one or two more tests. The sensitive urine pregnancy test usually pick it up within a week of missing your cycle.

In the short term this is not dangerous, but you should consult with a gynecologist to determine if this is only a temporary situation or needs further evaluation and treatment.

GYN exam: I would suggest a GYN exam and hormone levels checked including an HCG qualitative and quantitative exam. If you are a virgin or have not had any sexual intercourse, pregnancy is unlikely. You will need a pelvic and medical evaluation.

Hormonal imbalance: Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.

May not be right OC: If you are having a midcycle bleed on an oral contraceptive, your body is over riding the OC and you may need to change it. You may also be taking other meds that are interferring with the OC. See your Provider and check it out!

can i do a home pregnancy test after missing two month period?

Yep!: it will stay positive if you are pregnant for the length of your pregnancy.  Do follow instructions on the kit exactly, and be sure it is not expired. If negative, and you have missed two periods see a doc to confirm with a blood pg test and to check for other causes of amenorrhea (lack of periods).
