:  No, it is not ok to take these two laxatives together.  When taken simultaneously the risk of gastrointestinal side effects such as ischemic (lack of blood) colitis and ulceration of the colon , though rare, may occur. 
It is always wise the first examine your diet as a cause of constipation.  If this is not effective, contact your physician before self treatment

hi. my dr suggested that i take miralax every other day bc of no bm..i get a bm around 1 hour later, but on the directions it says to expect a bm in 1 to 3 days. why do i get bm in such a shorter period of time..is this odd? when do i stop taking it?

Some basics: Miralax works in a different way surrounding itself with water that it does not allow the intestines to extract. In doing so it keeps poop soft when you do go. If you went soon after you took it, it was unlikely do the med. It usually takes 2-3 days to move far enough down the gut to do anything. I would take it daily until you are sure you stay regular. Wean off when it suits you.

Not bad, good: If you are constipated and get fast relief, this is very good! Celebrate that you can get such a robust response, increase your fluid intake regularly to avoid repeat bouts.  Keep on keeping on

Can be, but...: Too complex to answer in this forum.  If taking these products instead of dietary intake, would fix the diet; activity; meds, etc.  Overall, safe to take in adults, check with pediatrician, if talking about kids.

i had some constipation so my dr said to do a miralax gatorade prep. i chose red because im not doing a colonoscopy. my colon is clean but the liquid coming out is red. its been several times now. could this be the gatorade or is it blood?

Likely food dye: If you are not having severe cramping or passing clumps of mucous, the red color is most likely from the dye in the Gatorade. It should clear in a day or two.  Bleeding high in the intestine usually gives a black color, and blood in the distal colon or rectum is usually stringy and mixed with mucous and stool and the watery part of diarrhea is not red.

i had to use a enema for stool that was stuck. i didnt get to use much of the enema but the poop did come out. i now notice im red near my anus. is this normal after using it? its my first time using a enema. i usually go fine with miralax?

: You possibly irritated your anal tissue. Rub some Vaseline over area, after you wash area with warm water and soap.

would warm lemon water help a ten year old boy with constipation? hes prescribed miralax and he takes it, i make sure he drinks plenty of water/fiber but he still has a hard time going. he needs relief, what can help that would work fast...

Not much at all: A person with constipation needs to be sure there is no other disease causing it. If constipation is just due to slow movement of food and poop through the gut, then the things to try are vegetables, water, prune juice, prunes, fiber with water, Miralax (polyethylene glycol), Senokot or other senna, milk of magnesia, other laxatives, enemas,... Close follow-up with his pediatrician can solve this.
