Relax: Mitral regurgitation is common in mvp. Most patients are asymptomatic. No specific therapy is required for mild mr. Normal lifestyle and regular exercise should be encouraged. You should have a normal lifespan.

Unlikely an issue: At your age you are hundreds of times more likely to die in a car crash than from complications of mild mitral prolapse/regurgitation. Most will lead very productive lives. The choice is yours.

Good dental hygiene 
avoid infections 
regular followup and echo
may need valve repair along the way but well tolerated and good duration!

Watch over time: If progressive prolapse, and worsening mitral regurgitation it can need intervention.
Many stay stable  for years and periodic echo is done.

Yes go to gym: Contact your Internist and Cardiologist and ask them if you are medically clear to engage in gym activities.
Mild and trivial heart murmurs are common. Unless your doctors specifically told you not to exercise there is no barrier to exercise in my opinion. In fact there are multiple studies suggesting exercise is beneficial. Start by going to the American Heart Association for recommendations!
